Dilwale (translation:The Gigantic Hearted) is an upcoming 2015 Indian romantic action comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty, & produced by Gauri Khan & Shetty under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment & Rohit Shetty Productions respectively.The film stars Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan & Kriti Sanon in lead roles.In January 2015, filmmaker Shetty announced a project with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. Shetty said that he would start filming in March 2015. Shetty signed actress Kajol opposite Shah Rukh Khan. He also signed actor Varun Dhawan who was reportedly playing Khan's father while actress Kriti Sanon was signed opposite him.Principal photography began on twenty March 2015 with Varun Dhawan.

Varun Dhawan (born 24 April 1987) is an Indian actor who appears in Bollywood films. The son of film director David Dhawan, they studied Business Management from the Nottingham Trent University after which they worked as an assistant director to Karan Johar on the 2010 drama My Name Is Khan. Varun Dhawan made his acting debut with Johar's 2012 romantic comedy Student of the Year, for which they received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. In 2014, they played leading roles in the comedies Main Tera Hero & Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
